The Interdisciplinary Centre for Comparative Research in the Social Sciences

The ICCR was founded in 1986 with the aim of designing and promoting interdisciplinary and transnational research.

For its research work the ICCR uses applied, multi-disciplinary and comparative research with Europe defining the geographical scope.

Our mission

To improve societies through high quality research and efficient dissemination.

Strategic Assessment of Corridor Developments, TEN Improvements and Extensions of the CEEC/CIS

The Project assesses the development of the Pan-European corridors. It aims at formulating a strategic policy assessment methodology that can be used to assess the impacts of these network development.

CODE-TEN attempts to address the following:

  • What assessment tool to use for assessing the impacts of large-scale networks?
  • How is strategic policy assessment relevant for assessment of corridor developments?
  • Which infrastructure policy fits in best with the objective of the common transport policy of the European Union?
  • How to link policy assessment with project assessment?
